cTlie uUedicine Qcck -Annual? 1988 Co-£ditors: lor Carta Business Hr sti We, the senior class of 1988, dedicate our annual to the only classroom teacher we have had for each of our four years at Carter County High School, His senso of humor and seemingly carefree attitude has been much enjoyed in our four years at CCHS. And because of many years of excellent work in the classroom, on the annual, and with everything he is involved, we dedicate our annual to Fat Mauch. Mr. Mauch and his wife, Beth, have four children, lisa, Sean, Tim, and Danny. They have made their residence in Ekalaka for the last twelve years. During these past twelve years, Mr. Mauch has taught Alegbra I ft II, Geometry, Advanced Math and Trigonometry, Computers I ft II, and Physics. He has also been the annual advisor for twelve years and has been the class sponsor of four different classes. We the seniors of 1988 thank Mr. Mauch for has years of dedication and excellence in the classroom. We would also like to wish Mr. Mauch and his family the best of luck in the future. 2 School Day Memories As we reach out our hand The diplomas we grasp While we think of the memories Of the years in the past. Tears fill our eyes Because it's all gone we're starting a new life We have to move on We hope friends will keep in touch As the years pass us by Although it hurts inside We'll try not to cry We think of kindergarten And our first daY Now we've reached the end We are going away How do you say goodbye To friends who mean so much? Will there be time To sincerely keep in touch? You'll always have the memories Of your school years from day one Don't think of school as ending Think of a new life that has begun!! -Cindy Kichline Sponsored by: Baker Furniture Co. They were: Colleen Barrere, David Beach, Darcie Boggs, Rick Brown, Bev Carter, Nadine Davis, George Dingfelder, Cater Elmore, Lori Hutchinson, Nikki Kerr, Dave Kirkwood, Lee LaBree, Mickie Lamphere, Carla Markuson, and Amanda Parks. We started our high school career off with Nikki Kerr as President, Dave Kirkwood Vice-President, Nadine Davis Secretary, and Bev Carter as Student Council Representative. Our advisors were Mr. Tres Genger and Mrs. Cindy Quade. The fall of 1985, we were missing Rick Brown, but had gained Rich Hobbart. Mr. Quane Kenyon and Mrs. Cindy Quade were our advisors. The schools doors opened in 1986 with our largest class enrollment of 18 students. We had gained Kristi Sikorski, Leslie and Kenneth Skinner.During our very busy Junior year, Bev Carter was our President, Lee LaBree was our Vice-President, Dave Kirkwood our secretary, and George Dingfelder was our Student Council Representative. The theme of our prom was This Could Be The Night , and Miss Rhonda Gestring, Mr. Quane Kenyon, and Mrs. Cindy Quade were our advisors. We are now Seniors with 16 kids roaming the halls at CCHS. Bev Carter and Rich Hobart are not with us this year. Our officers our President George Dingfelder, Vice-President Amanda Parks, Secretary David Beach, and Student Council Representative Lori Hutchinson. Mr. Quane Kenyon and Mrs. Cindy Quade are still hanging in there as our fearless leaders. We leave the halls of CCHS with many good friends and many memories, as well as a winning attitude. Sponsored by: Herbst Insurance Baker, MT As I got home from work I turned on the TV set just in time to catch the last quarter of the Boston Celtics vs the LA Lakers, and who did I see on the court but my old schoolmate David Slamma Jamma Beach. He has been playing for the Celtics for the last couple of years while trying to beat Micheal Jordans slam dunk title. Hold on a sec...did I just hear the announcer say Davey Kirkwood? Well sure enough! I thought I recognized those 3-point attempts and come to find out he's still firing them up. I switched the channel to watch the National Finals Rodeo and there was Carla Markuson trying to keep her crown as the United States Rodeo Queen, which she has held for the last 4 years while running her large horse ranch in Texas. Carter Elmore has also made himself quite popular. He went on to become another Ollie North by supplying arms to the Iranians and surprising everyone back home by saying This guns for you . George Dingfelder is now the Chief of Police in LA, but he still takes the time out of his crime solving schedule to come home to Ekalaka and judge the pork during the Days of '85. Kenneth Skinner went into business and somehow became the owner of Blanco Blanco, he could handle the business but had to hire Kristi Sikorski to take care of the customers with the understanding that she got Tuesdays, Thursdays and weekends off the go shopping of course! Colleen Barrere has now opened a school to teach people how to become the best nannies and in her spare time she writes editorials for the Ekalaka Eagle. Leslie Skinner has been named Harlequin Romances Writer of the Year. When asked how she got her interest in writing, she said it was her Government teacher who inspired her. Mr. Kenyon now receives a compli- mentary copy of each book. Mickie Lamphere is now happily married to Moose and they make their home in Ekalaka with their 11 kids! (They just had to outdo his folks) Nikki Kerr is the author and casting director of her new soap opera The Nights of Our Lives which has blown Days right out of the ratings. Lee LaBree, after graduating at the top of our class, went on to run the best hunting lodge in the country, which is called Lee Tats Hunting, Lodging, and Wild Women Dodging. Nadine Davis, after going to college on a ROTC, decided the army was for her. She is now a drill sergeant and says she could probably teach Tug a few things!! Amanda Parks overcame her chronic fear of schools and became an English teacher. She went on to replace Mrs. Flippette Blair Before I go to bed I guess I'll run down to the Main Street Market and see Darcie Boggs, who has taken over the family business and now has mini markets all across the U.S. As for me, I started working on the TV show LA Law after tiring from the work load at Dick Harkins office back in Ekalaka. As you can tell the Class of '88 has gone on to do quite well for ourselves! We've even surprised a few!!
