CUSS HISTORY Seniors of 1976 We started high school in 1972 as freshmen with 21 members but soon lost Tim Hutton. Our class officers were Randy Arpan, president; Tim Tooke, vice-president; Terri Talking- ton, secretary-treasurer; Jo Ludwick and Brad Shelden, student council representatives. Our advisor was Mr. Wilson. When we returned as sophomores, we discovered that Dewey and Wayne Wells were mis- sing. The class officers for our sophomore year were Tammy Hedges, president; Rus Guyer, vice-president; Jo Ludwick, secretary-treasurer; George Farwell and Allan Buck, student council representatives; Terri Talkington, class reporter. Class advisors were Mr. Wilson and Mrs. Stieg. As juniors we lost two members. Brad Shelden and, later on, Lora Baesler. Class officers were Randy Arpan, president; George Farwell, vice-president; Tammy Hedges, secretary-treasurer; Kaye Till, student council representative. Class advisors were, again, Mr. Wilson and Mrs. Stieg. And finally, our senior year, 1976. We gained two members. Tracy LaBree and Shane Waples, both transfers from Plevna. We now have 18yand losing none during the year, we set out to graduate. Class officers are Tim Tooke, president; Jo Ludwick, vice-president; Paul Brence, secretary-treasurer. Class advisors -- Mr. Wilson and Mrs. Stieg. As the year drew to a close, we began our final stretch. We chose red and silver as our colors; red carnations as our flower; and The dawn has brought us this far; where will the sunset find us? as our motto. So, with this thought in mind, we are ready to take on the world! CLASS PROPHECY Steve Markuson now owns all of Beaver Flat, but he's still trying to convince people he'3 the poorest guy living. Lila Farnsworth went off to study music but was discovered by a talent scout and is now making regular appearances on the Message for America radio program from Sisseton, SD. Randy Arpan graduated from carpentry school and is now trying to build his old com- munity of Alzada into a town. Margaret Cleveland has been spending a lot of time at Alzada trying to lure Randy away from the poker casino he's building. Connie Wash spends most of her time out at the ranch helping hubby Bill feed the sheep herd. Jo Ludwick is the private secretary to Neil Kittlemann at the G ft V Pellet Mill. Kaye Till is a nurse at Dahl Memorial where she takes care of all her classmates just as she always has. Tammy Hedges is now the most prominent business woman in Ekalaka. After having grad- uated from secretarial school, she came home to take over the Hedges's estate. George Farwell is coaching a girls' basketball team. They're teaching him every- thing they know. Tim Tooke never had anyone explain to him that fish came from the sea. The result of this is that he's spending a lot of time out at the Lovec ranch trying to catch a shrimp. Le9 Kreitel is now the chief of a tribe called Prairie Nigger and is still whooping it up. Tracy LaBree changed his name to Loco LaBree and is following in Evil Kneivel's footsteps. He even jumped Beaver Creek successfully. Allan Buck has a vet clinic at Camp Crook, but he can't be reached until after 11:00 since he believes the sun doesn't come up until then. Shane Waples has replaced Roy Rogers, Gene Autry, and Red Ryder as King of the Cowboys . Paul Brence is still out at Mill Iron raising hogs and playing in the dirt. He still doesn't know enough to come in out of the rain. Tom Hutton is leading a busy life running the Standard station during the day and the 220 Club at night. During his spare time, he's a photographer for Playboy Magazine. Russ Guyer is still wandering slowly around college campuses trying to figure out which one to attend. Terri Talkington is now a prominent citizen of Ekalaka where she owns a rent-a-car service and runs a baby-sitting center on the side. 18
