Big Chief A Message to the Students and Graduates Dear Students: The end of the year--the joy of graduation--the joy of the end of the school year. But really is there an end to anything? All our lives we will be looking for the end of this, or that, or whatever. Let us not keep looking for the end but, let us keep looking for solutions to help make the inevitable end better. Let us in our hopes and prayers look for that which.will not only help make C. C. H. S. a better place, but the whole world a better place not only to live but to survive as well. My Congratulations to the Seniors of 1960. May God bless you and keep you. Sincerely, William E. Palaniuk Superintendent Board of Trustees Standing: Mrs. Hunter, Mir BytneT Sitting: Mrs. Tauck, Mr. Stieg, Mr. Townsend, Mr. Hughes, Mr. Guyer, Mr. Quade.

Class Officers: J. Yates-Vice-Pres. , S. Pal an iuk-Student Council Rep. , H. Carlisle-Sec. -Treas. , E. Lovec-Student Council Rep. , S. Kittlemann- President. Freshmen Thirty-six students showed up to begin our year as a freshman class which was to be one of the largest in C.C.H. S. We later lost Donald Purdon and Jim Kutzler to make us now thirty-four strong. We worked hard an enjoyed our first Homecoming in C. C.H. S. Our candidates for king and queen, Scott Kittlemann and Emily Lovec, were both chosen first runners-up. Our window took second prize and our float won first place. During the rest of the year we were busy with football, basketball, track, and music in addition to our academic courses. We sponsored a sock-hop and put on a casserole supper, with the help of our parents, making us one of the richer classes in the school. We enjoyed our first year in C. C. H. S. and would like to thank Mrs Palaniuk, our advisor for helping to make it such a successful one. 6
