French I studente in the language lab FRESHMAN CUSS HISTORY On August 2k, 1965, the Freshmen started out a bit bewildered, but as the days progressed, they became more accustomed to high school. Class officers were elected at the first class meeting, and chosen as Homecoming candidate was Kathy Major. During the fall, they whitewashed the 1C under the supervision of the Sophomore class. The class dwindled a little through the year with the loss of Gary Wasnak, Eddie Gergen, and Sandy Mulkey. Thirty-nine was the original number of freshmen. Our class consisted of twenty-three students. During the year, John Welling, John Swede, and Clyde Nichols left us. Our first class meeting was supervised by Mr. Cobetto. Class officers were elected and Loretta Marty was chosen Homecoming candidate. We supervised the freshmen when they whitewashed the WCM. At our first class meeting, we welcomed back Mr. Markuson as our class sponsor. We elected class officers and Kerry Pat Wical became our Homecoming queen candidate. During the month of April, some of the seniors were visitors at Miles City for Career Day and at Bozeman for High School Week. On April 23, Evalynne Emerson and John Willson were crowned Queen and King of the Junior-Senior Prom which wa3 entitled Sayonara . Baccalaureate was held on May 22, Class Night was on May 23, and Commencement was held on May 24.
