JUNIORS Tony Nies, Student Council Representative; Candy Curry, Secretary- Treasurer; Earl Collins, President. CLASS HISTORY Juniors at last! We entered the doors of CCHS on August 26, 1963, thirty-three in number. At our first class meeting, which was presided over by our new class sponsor, Mr. Boyd, we chose our officers. They were Neil Howell as follows: Earl Collins, president; Neil Howell, vice president; Vice-President Candy Curry, secretary-treasurer; and Tony Nies, student council representative. Sharon Tooke was chosen to represent our class as queen candidate and we were very thrilled to see her crowned Homecoming Queen on October 19. Out class rings arrived in November and we liked them very much. We presented our class play, Somethin’s Cookin’ February 13 in the high school gymnasium to a large and enthusiastic audi- ence. Candy Curry and Sharon Tooke were named Girls’ State dele- gates with Linda Brence and Donna Bush as alternates. Earl Col- lins and Bill Wear were named Boys’ State delegates with Gary Jardee and Tony Nies as alternates. The Junior-Senior Prom was held on May 16. The theme was Story Book Ball. We had a lot of fun decorating the gym, and the dance was a complete success. Now that our junior year has ended, we eagerly await our senior year. 18
