FRESHMEN On the first day of school, in a rumble of confusion, 3 students enrolled as freshmen. Jerry Townsend joined our class 2 weeks later and then dropped again shortly. Since then we have lost three more students; Janice Anderson, Flora Belle Wasnuk, and Roger Peabody, leaving a total of I4O. We elected Russell Lambert president, Mike Chapmanvice president, and Lorine Renshaw, secretary-treasurer. Mr. Mead was our sponsor. On initiation day we decked ourselves out with the pe- culiar looking costumes which the sophomores had ordered us to wear. That night they gave us a dance. Homecoming made hard-working students with an abundance of school spirit, out of us with its different activities. Although, Mona Williams, our queen candidate did not get the honor of being first we were all very proud of her. Later in the year we gave the sophomores a return dance. Again under the sophomore orders we painted the C . As freshmen we are looking forward to becoming sophomores so that we may give orders instead of take them.
