JUNIORS We began our first year as upper classmen with twenty-four mem- bers. After counting noses we found four students not with us. They were Lorn ’Welch, Marcus ' ash. Crystal Mulkey, and Jim Price. Later in the year Jim Elmoro transferred to Roberts, Montana. We were rewarded when Carl Croy and Richard Elmore Joined our presence. At our first class meeting we elected Gene Lehman as president, Tom Tooke as vice president, Grace Blair as secretary-treasure, and Charlene Kittelmarm as homecoming queen candidate. Mrs. Cantrell was our class sponsor. We ordered our class rings and when they arrived we proudly showed them off. Our class play, The Improper Henry Proper,n was presented at Ekalaka, February 2U, and at Ridgeway, March 21. It was an astonish- ing success. The Junior-Senior prom theme was chosen and the date set for May 2, with the Johnny Hider orchestra for music. The Girl s State delegates were Ginger Stieg and Myma Burch. The boys chosen to attend Boy s State were Tom Anderson and Homer Har- rington. Although we have many pleasant memories of our junior year, we are looking forward with great anticipation to being seniors. 24
