THE CLASS OF 1941 Boss Keith Marshall Shelden Alice Bazil Beulah V. Adz-ms President Vice President Secretary and Treasurer Sponsor The Class of 1941 held its first meeting of the year on September 9t with forty-seven members present. They elected their class officers, and made plans to initiate the freshmen. They initi- ated the freshmen 7 ith a program and a dance, Sep- tember 16. The sophomore class gave a backward party on April 14. They served lunch to the Broadus basket- ball team when they played here. The boys won the interclass tournament in basket- ball. Tommy Heggen was second in the table tennis tournament. There were eight sophomore lettennen. On November the 19, the sophomore class, under the direction of Miss Evonsen, presented a short play about an auction sale for the amateur contest. Then in March, the girls presented the play, Mrs. Apple and Her Corps, and the boys presented A Convention of Papas, directed by Mrs. Adams. The members who have been on the honor roll all year are Sybil Sjoblom, LaVeme Malmquist, Jean Malmquist, Margaret Owen, and Wilma Kennedy. The sophomore candidate, Alice Bazil, was elect- ed All-school Queen at the Coed Prom. The pupils who have dropped out of the class are Daisy Cline, William Cline, Marvin Dillon and Har- riet Pierce. Alice Gray transferred to Broadus, and Jac't Munro went to the C. C. C. 12

THE CLASS OF 1942 Byron Yates Max Loehding Laura Mae Shelden Patrick Webster William C. Greer » ' ■ President Vice Procident Secretary Tropeurer Sponsor School opened with fifty-six freshmen. The pu- pils who have dropped since are Sidney Brower, Audrey Hamilton, Lloyd Stewart, and Richard Trau- bert. Those who have transferred are Emma Odell, to Camp Crook, Nancy Symms to Kalispell, Lorraine Hahnkamp to Broadus, and Marvin Pulse to the CCCk Olive Ovem was married during the year to Melvin Odell. Sidney Brower wasrianiribd to Daisy Cline. The freshmen gave the sophomores a return party September 19. They also served lunch to the Ollie basketball team. 1 Two freshmen received letters for basketball: Ruth Albert and Carsten Loken. The class placed third in the inter-class track meet. Mr. Rowley directed the class stunt, The Hobo , and it won first prize in the Skit Night contest. Ruth Albert and Mary Anderson have been on the honor roll all year, Ruth leading it on two occas- ions with a straight A average. Velma Hecksthorn was a candidate for All-school Queen. She v as second in the voting. The last activity for the year was the painting of the C on the hill, under the direction of the sophomores. 14
