BABY BLUE BALL BLITZERS Early in the season, Coach Wag- goner of the Girls ' Varsity Softball team said the team was in the infant stages because of the many new members. But as the season pro- gressed, the team matured into a winning group of courageous young ladies who had the strong will to win. At the end of every season, the elusive blue ball is awarded. The Blue Ball A ward is given to the player who had the highest defensive plays. The team was also coached by Marco Chavez; whose constant help brought up the team ' s winning ef- forts. 7. PONY BALL EXPRESS This year ' s Junior Varsity Softball Team are a group of determined young ladies who believe that prac- tice makes perfect. Everyday these dedicated players stay after school perfecting their defense as well as their offense. At the end of the season, the out- standing defensive effort of one of the players is recognized by the Pony Ball Award. This year ' s returning players were: Ash and Hash Kumagai, Rosalyn Manu, and Lynn Alafaituli. 1. Ash Kumagai smiles as she throws the ball to the infield. 2.
