WHAT YOU CEE IS WHAT YOU GET This year ' s CEE Basketball team had a good season, winning 6 while losing 4. They ended their season by placing second in the Marine League. TWO FOR THE HOOP! This year ' s Girls ' Varsity and Junior Varsity Basketball teams were coached by Ms. Biando. The Varsity had a rather young team, consist- ing of one sophomore, four juniors, and two seniors, whereas Junior Var- sity consisted of mostly sophomores and juniors. The returning players for Varsity and Junior Varsity were Rosemary Ebert, Aofia Leafa, Vanessa Johnson, Phyllis Taylor, Catrina Anderson, and Debbie Suluvale. Varsity offensively and defensively dominated each game they played. One fine example was the game against Manual Arts, the number one rated team in league play. The Colts were down by ten points, but with strength and outstanding teamwork, the Colts managed to trounce the Toilers, with a final score of 46-43. Other teams that the Mighty Colts dominated were Gardena, Banning, and Jefferson. Though the J. V. ' s did not have the same success as the Varsity, next year ' s team should he promising.
