A FINAL SHOT Although ranked low in the City during preseason play, the ' ' irresisti- ble Colts managed to prove the newspaper critics wrong by begin- ning the playoffs with a record of 18- 4 and the hard earned title of Pacif- ic League Champs . Also joining this Awesome squad were JV stan- douts Joaquin Barnett, John Howell, Tim Presley, Stevie Stevenson, and Frank Williams. This Colt team managed to defeat Palisades in what was a very chal- lenging game during the first round of the playoffs. In the quarter-finals there was no competition against Washington, upon which they breezed to an easy victory. It seemed as though our Colts were unbeat- able. But alas, at the Sports Arena the Colts met their match and lost to Westchester in the femi-finals. This loss ended the basketball season for our varsity squad and gave them an overall record of 20-6. Every eye is on Capt. Darryl Mor- ris as he slam dunks two points for the Colts. Sophomore Issy Washington dominating the board and grab- bing the rebound. Slick Rick making a two-point jump shot. 66
