Caroldale Tutors -py Carson volunteers meet with school teachers from Caroldale ele- mentary and work closely with their sponsor, Mrs. Rousseau. Each tutor is matched to several young children in a one-on-one assistance program. Young students are given the chance to really get to know an older stu- dent. California Scholastic Federation (C.S.F.) is one of the most difficult honor societies to enter for a high school student. With near straight- A grades, C.S.F. members volunteer to peer-tutor other Carson Colts. Stu- dents wishing help in any subject meet with C.S.F. tutors to receive free assistance with classes. Tutors are rewarded with grateful smiles from fellow students and a special luncheon at year end. 37

Interact Club Interact is an active club both on and off campus. This group was ori- ginally formed by Mr. Groth, Car- son ' s Principal, for the purpose of serving both the school and commu- nity. Today, under the care of Mr. Reichert, the group has increased membership as well as services.
