As school opens each September, stores throughout Southern Califor- nia are showing a line of furry fall sweaters and warm coats. The prob- lem is . . . the weather in Carson still feels as hot as mid-July. How to stay in style when the weather ranges from WO to 40 V. Never fear! Carson Colts somehow manage to find fashion for all of Southern California ' s weather. Al- ways aware of the newest trends, Colts can be seen in everything from preppy jeans to the newest mini- skirts. 1983-84 ' s school season brought forth such fashion fads as the light heavy-metal (with chain belts and leather wear), revamped preppy (with striped jeans and ar gyle sweat- ers) and a variety of hair lengths, skirt lengths, and nails from short to oh- soooo long. PERSONAL STYLE is the style that stands out this year. What looks and feels right is 84 ' s dress right. (seated) Lori Young and Rhonda Jones smile while showing fashion variety. Pretty Ayako Kumagai follows fashion leaders with her five-studded ear ring style and page-boy hair.
