CLASS WILL We, the Senior Class of l953, being reasonably sound of mind and body, do hereby record and publish our last will and testament to those remaining in C.H.S. as follows: FIRST: To our faculty we wish to express our gratitude and appre- ciation for your patience and long hours which you have so gra- ciously given to us. we hope, for your sake, that the following classes will be as intelligent and brilliant as the class of n53n. we sincerely feel that you have enjoyed us as much as we have en- joyed having you. SECOND: To the underclassmen we leave to you our place in good old C.H.S. along the east wall of the assembly and may the future Sen- ior Class of Sh be as honorable and studious as the preceeding one. But you must keep in mind that you will never reach the level that the'class of NSBN reached. THIRD: To the Sophies we humbly bequeath our ability to know I.Q. what responsibility and work are, aware of the fact that you shall nev- er be able to use them as we have. FOURTH: To the Green Freshies we will our success and hope that they may someday wake up enough to live a little. Bill Davis, gladly bequeath my n39W Chevrolet and 5100 fine to Ron. Elliott. Barb Schroder, being in an undecided state of mind, tearfully bequeath one of my boy friends to Kate Mass. Marjorie Haines, give my quick temper and wish for a man to Dorothy Rose. Jim Baker, will my quiet and reserved manner to Darrell Kelley. Florence Hooker, leave my studious ability and scholastic honors to Duane Shanno. I, I, T, I, I, I, Wayne Colvin, will my ability for brilliant conversations to Bob Lewellen. I, Dorothy Shanno, will my nWay With the Menu to Maralynn McClain. I, Myrna Warren, bequeath my blushing ability and dimples to Harold Forristal. Maralene Harvey, bestow upon Macyl Fichter my ability to go with boys that drive new cars. Douglas Hall, sadly leave my almost perfect absentee record to Barbara Rose. Cliff Jefferson, being of sound mind tearfully leave my steady girls and many nights in Council Bluffs to Dick Frain and Robert Byers. Beverly Husz, will my height and studious manner to Lowell Phillips. I, I, I, I, I, Shirley Brumley, sorrowfully leave my naps in the study hall to Ken Carr. I, Roberta Evans cautiously will my undecided state of mind to James Taylor. I, Sandra Forbus, sadly give my nway With the Teachersn to Kendall Kelley. INMEMORIAM REBECCA ELDORA STEELE Rebecca Eldora Steele born September 16, 1887, passed away on February 19, 1953. Miss Steele was 65 years old at the time of her death. She was a life-long resident of Carson, a member of the Carson Presb- yteriam Church and the O.E.S. chapter 92. In her life time, and the no years that she was a member of the Carson School Faculty she was a friend to all. Her guiding hand helped to mold the character and ideals of hundreds of young people, who today are leaders and responsible citizens in this com unity and through out the United States. Her friendly smile and steady hand became a pillar of strength for those who suffered in sorrow and trouble. Her good deeds will be remembered by all, because they were offered from the utter most depths of her heart. We do truly miss Miss Steele in our school, church and com- munity life in Carson.
