Lemieux House Council Government of the women's dormitory is run in a democratic manner by the House Council, consisting of students selected the previous year by vote and under the guidance of Dean Penfield. Carrie Harper, president of the House Council, had the biggest and hardest job to do this year, what with presiding over the council and keeping dormitory girls in- formed of all important announcements and changes in house rules. Toby Beaudoin kept the candy case filled for those of us who love sweetSeand donht we all?-while Sachi Ishii was kept busy handling the money affairs. Other members who did their share in planning social affairs, main- taining quiet hours, and handing out those annoying demerit slips- besides in many ways making dormitory life more pleasant for everyone were Mary Lou Lemieux,Jean-Joy Reichmann, Shirley Guse, and Lamont Ehrenstrauss.
