oys' male Does ell Again Since the boys' track team had one of the largest turnouts ever, there was a wide range of talent which gave the Patriots depth and skill. It enabled them to win the league championship, although they shared it with Naches and Goldendale. In the state A meet at Zaepfel, Doug Rich captured 5th place in the pole vault, Kevin Anson, 3rd in the 440, and Tony Fuchs, 3rd in the 2-mile. Relay members Jim Smith, Tim Gamache, Barry Woodard, and Kevin Anson finished 5th in the 440 and 2nd in the mile. Out of 100 teams competing, Carroll tied for fourth place.
