Mike Schreck chips away at his score. The Carroll golf team, expertly coached by lVlr. Cooper, once again took the league championship for the 7th time with an 8-O record. The golfers played in the Kennewick Invitational and the Yakima Invitational, and they placed 3rd in the Valley AA-A District tournament, just two strokes off Hanford's score. A special thanks goes to lVlr. William Boggess for all his help. Suntides is the Carroll home golf course. Teresa Pellicer hands off to Jackie Deccio. 1977 saw the largest track turnout in recent years as many girls converged on the Carroll stadium during the early days of lVlarch. lVlalntaining one of the largest squads around gave Carroll depth and enabled them to win the Girls' Valley UA championship with a perfect 5-O dual meet season. The girls defeated twenty other teams and claimed the district crown at Zaepfel Stadium on lVlay 19.
