Baseball, Ho ops, Carroll's varsity, led by Coach Rohn and his assistant Coach Gilman entered the 1977 season as an inexperienced and young ball club. However, by responding with a 12-4 season and tying for third place, they proved that they were no upush over. They were led by the pitching of uSuper Mex, Jerry Courcy and the uSmoke of Clarke Hull. The Ulinedriver hitting of senior Steve King, played an important part in CarroIl's successful season. The youth of the team had the seniors, Courcy, King, St. Mary, VanHorn, Hordan, Ibach, and Brulotte as examples to follow for future championships. Carroll fans should see a lot of these ball players in the future, for their play generates excitement and dash on the field. Successful seasons ahead can be assured because of the hustle and determination of this ball team. Never count them down: they keep coming back.
