Patriot players go wild when their cheerleaders enter the stadium. ought I told you never to use the Statue of Liberty -- N -11 '::nwa ' 11, , alley 66 99 The 1976-77 Patriot Football season proved a big success for the men of the gridiron. From the first 19-O win over Goldendale to the 40-14 finale over Highland, the team grew in their football knowledge and close teamwork. The final season record for the squad was 7 wins and 2 losses. The Pats lost those games by a total of only 6 points. The narrow wins also earned the team the nickname 'tThe Cardiac Kids. The victories included a 13-12 thriller over East Valley and a big 14-6 Homecoming win over Cle Elum. At the Awards Banquet after the season had ended, the following received team awards: Captain - Kevin Anson Inspirational - Jerry Courcy Head Hunter - Larry Laurent Best Blocker - Andy Bush Chaplain - Doug Rich Everyone on the team enjoyed the season, and a big thanks goes to the coaches: lVIr.
