With the initiation of 15 new members on March 23, National Honor Society will once again be attending Town Hall lectures in force. This past year, Erma Bombeck and Polly Bergen especially delighted and informed those who heard them. Next year, N.H.S. hopes to be involved in school activities, such as tutoring students who need extra help. The members also hope to make an educational held trip to Seattle or Portland to attend lectures by prominent speakers. N.H.S. sponsors doughnut and hot dog sales to raise money for the J.F.K. speech contest, the highlight of the year's activities. The 1977 winners were Jane Cockrill, First in oral interpretation and in total points, Teresa Rullman, Second in persuasive speaking and in total points, and Doug Rich, Third in total points.
