The sticks he held, now lay untouched, Our faces now sting with tears. The people here are grim and quiet, Thinking of our friend. God, we’re going to miss him so much, That we all do employ. O, Dear Lord, please take good care Of our little drummer boy. On October 24, 1980 tragedy struck Carroll High School. The Class of 1984 lost Michael Gilmore. A smile never left Mike’s face. His joy and happiness helped us all through the day. Mike was born on April 21, 1966 to Mr. and Mrs. James E. Gilmore. Mike loved to play the drums. Although Mike’s life was short we will always remember his smiling face and that he was a friend to everyone. 156 FRESHMAN CLASS OFFICERS We, the Freshman Class of 1981, are proud to finally be a part of Carroll High School. This year we have tried to establish ourselves as leaders in the different activities of the school. She and her students have always put out an excellent form of entertainment and Rubberneck was no exception. All those attending were very complimentary and were quite pleased with the talent in which they witnessed. The Drama Club will always be a major part of the activities at Carroll High School. 265 Lil' Abner is a musical that was presented by students of all grades at Carroll High School. Mrs. Barbara Alford was the director. The students were selected after trying out for the different parts. Many hours were put into this most enjoyable. This has been one of the finest productions this year and will hopefully become an annual event. Lil’ Abner Disectors Vs.
