Mr. Jack Barnette, assistant to Mr. Carpenter, deals directly with students in matters regarding enroll- ment and attendance. With Carroll High School in the center of Fort Rucker military operations, new students arrive from all portions of the globe. In addition to assisting Mr. Carpenter, he also teaches a science class. Miss Wenona Martin Mr. Jack Barnette Guidance Counselor to 977 students requires ability to organize, plan carefully and be truly interested in the future of each student. The guidance office at Carroll High School provides students with up-to-date infor- mation on hundreds of colleges and universities and latest scholarship applications. Tests are administered frequently to help students find voca- tional aptitudes. Mrs. Watson, the school secretary of Carroll High School, has many jobs im- portant to every student and teacher. Her responsibilities include handling the mail, the money, and many other duties necessary to the operation and success of CHS. Mrs. W?atson is in charge of keeping up with the locker keys, lost and found, and checking out. She has assistants to aid her in office work and errands.
