Advanced Science Club The full name of the club is the Carroll High Advanced Organization of Scientists. The purpose of the club is threefold: fly to stimulate interest in scientific research, Q21 to aid stu- dents in their research, Q31 to provide a greater opportunity for those seeking a position in the field of science. This being the first year for a science organization at Carroll High School, the club has spent much time in writing the constitution and setting up requirements for mem- bership. The members have attended two visiting scientist programs held at the school, and they are planning a field trip this spring. The club has sponsored one of the visiting scientist pro- grams and several club members participated in various science fairs. The officers of the club are as follows: Crofford Macklin, presidentg Scott Phillips, vice president, and Nancy Schmidt, secretary-treasurer. Mr. Wright is the sponsor of the club. Science Club The purpose of the Carroll Science Club is to increase knowledge in the areas of science not normally covered in the classroom. Some of the activities we have participated in are: The Carroll Science Fair, the trip by the executive officers to the Center of Science and Industry Building in Columbus, the trip of all the members to the Center of Science and Industry Building, and the field trip to the Cen tral Ohio District Science Fair in Columbus at O. S. U. We also view movies during activity periods. The officers of the club are: Ruth Radford, presidentg Bill Brooks, vice president, and Debbie Dixon, secretary-treasurer.
