AA The purpose of the Girls Athletic Association is to develop an appreciation and understanding of team and individual sports, to participate in the sports, to develop sportsmanship, to encour- age and train leaders, and to encourage the worthy use of leisure time, The club this year wrote the constitution and organized a point system. It sponsored a bake sale, Sadie Hawkins Dance, and an Awards Banquet. The girls also backed the volleyball, bas- ketball, and track teams and went on a weekend camping trip. OFFICERS: Pres., K. F.N.A. The purpose of the Future Nurses of America is to create a better un- derstanding of nursing and other medical careers. Among their many activities, the future nurses this year completed their constitution and toured the Lancaster-Fairfield Hos- pital. Officers: Pres., L. Alvisg V. Pres., V. Dambaughg Sec.-Treas., R. Maceg Advisor, Mrs. Wilson F.T.A. The Future Teachers of Ameri- ca organization was formed to inter- est students in and familiarize them with the teaching career and to pre- pare them for college. All future teachers are given valuable class- room teaching experience. This year's club renewed the school's charter with the National F. T. A. , and participated in a state -wide Future Teachers Career Day at Ohio State University. F.S.A. The Future Secretaries Associa- tion was organized by the National Secretaries Association, Internation- al. The purpose is to create an in- terest in the secretarial field and to prepare better secretaries. Lettermenas Club This club is open only to lettermen. The club meets once every month. Our club has had a party at the Y.M. C. A., a basketball game with the F. F. A., and we sponsored the basket- ball homecoming dance. The officers are as follows: Gary Benadum, presidentg John Crooks, vice presidentg Ronnie Buskirk, treasurerg Jim Cain, secretary, and Jerry Rathburn, sergeant-at- arms. Mr. Miller is the club advisor. Book Club The Carroll Righteous Readers Book C1ub's purpose is to encourage more reading of better books, The club this year subscribed monthly to the TAB bookclub.
