Seniors, during their last year, were especi- ally proud of their team Their school spirit showed when they lined up and yelled at the ball games when the Cougars char-ged onto the floor. The Cougars, although they did not have a Winning season, were the pride of the Carroll students this year. This was the first year for the Cougars under the direction of Coach Day. But the boys and he Worked enthusiastically together to put forth their best. Tom Myer, a junior member of the team, brought state Wide recogni- tion to the Carroll Cougars . At one time during the sea- son he hit forty-one straight free throws. The team and students were especi- ally proud when he was named to the Hoosier Con- ference All Stars. , '

Forward to Being on the Varsity Team. Freshmen and B-team ball players gained experience in competing with other teams that will strengthen their ability as varsity players. Coaches Odden and Draffen led their teams to successful seasons. Work and desire plus good coaching proved to be the chief factors which enabled the teams to have good records.
