Student Council Adopted a Constitution SEATED: Mr. Turner, Sponsor, Mr. Baker, Sponsor, J. Myer, V. President, J. Shambaugh, Presidentg R. Mylet, Secretary, Mr.Rector, Sponsor. STANDING: S. Allen, T. Bixler, C. Brower, W. Cooke, B. Pullen, D. Lesh, M. Hood, M. Becker, J. Myers, S. Jordan, C. Gangloff. Student Council sponsored many new projects this year. S Their greatest undertaking was a Student Council con- stitution. A major article provided for a two -year term for representatives with staggered elections. Members also provided for the Homecoming Queen ceremony and cheerleader tryouts and elections. Throughout the year the stu- dent body and teachers en- joyed convocations chosen by the Student Council. Ser- vices for the school in- cluded additional mirrors in the girls' restroom and a record player and speakers for school dances. They also served refreshments for a Swimming Coaches' Clinic and 3 guidance meeting for Student council members are proud of their purchase for school dances. next year's freshmen.

Sunshine Girls Worked on Many Projects Stmshine Officers: Toni Short, presidentg Ann Guyer, Vice Presidentg Sally Pickart, secretaryg Dianna Cosby, treasurerg Vicki Lesh, assistant treasurerg Rosemary Mylet, reporterg Brenda Mullendore, Song Leaderg and Jen- nifer Shambaugh, Student Council representative. Sunshine Society had a wide variety of activities this year. A formal initiation was held in the fall. Two formal dances, Fall Fantasy and The Night Cupid Struck, highlighted social events. Having secret peanut pals was a new project. The girls, Who put presents in their pals' lockers when they Weren't looking, revealed their ident- ity at a special party. Another project was a girls' basketball game. Ideal ladies were chosen, and a tea Was held in April. Senior members were guests at a banquet in May and were given gifts . Sunshine girls represented the Carroll society at district and state conventions . Several service projects were also undertaken. The girls helped with the Mothers' March and donated money to the Riley Fund. They also served coffee to teachers on grading day at the end of the first semester.
