Study of Foreign Languages at Carroll. In her first year of teaching at Carroll, Mrs. Circle found the use of the micro- phones beneficial. Hearing the language spoken by natives of the country gave the students a more thorough understanding of French. '

Latin and French Classes Provide for A new teacher was added to the Latin de- partment this year. Miss Keitel helped Mrs. Douglas by taking charge of the first year classes. Working with derivatives was one of the projects of the stu- dents . Both first and second year classes were also responsible for the program at two of the Latin Club meetings this year.

Geometry Classes Work with Many Proofs The study of planes and geomet- ric figures and their relationships helps to organize students thinking not only in math but in other areas also. Geom- etry students found their proofs easier to understand if they enlarged their drawings on the blackboard. I
