A United States flag which flew over the nation's capitol for QA hours was presented to Carroll High School by Corpus Christi chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution. The ceremony was held in the new school's cafetorium. Mrs. E. V. Massey, DAR chapter curator, presented the flag to Principal Gregg. Following his acceptance, the student body pledged alle- giance to the flag. Singing of the national anthem, accompanied by the Tiger Band, closed the program. jqunv-ww lr-up Mrs. Earl V. Massey, DAR chapter curator, presents the flag to Principal C. A. Gregg. Charles Alexander and Bobby Bess raise the United States flag and the 'Lone Star of Texas', for the first time on the school flag-pole. Scouts Bobby Bess and Charles Alexander hold the flag while the national anthem is sung ac- companied by the Tiger Band. 17
