FOREWORD Nothing Great Was Ever Achieved Without Enthusiasm. -Ralph Waldo Emerson Nothing great was ever achieved without enthusiasm. No bridges were built, no cities grew, no victories were won, no moral principles triumphed without enthusiasm backing them up. And who was it that backed them up? lt was not only men like George Washington, Julius Caeser, and Abraham lincoln, but it was the mild and the meek who didn't feel it necessary to let the world know who they were. All through life enthusiasm will be necessary to reach various goals and the youth of today must either have this quality innately or must acquire it. School is a fine place to exercise enthusiasm and most students have taken advantage of it. For those who have not, there is a lifetime of goals that lie ahead and enthusiasm will be the key to reaching them. Thus, this l963 Yearbook's theme has been chosen to be enthusiasm, one of the most important qualities a per- son should have. For it will guarantee satisfaction in any situation, no matter how diftlcult.

DEDICATIO The ninth grade class of Weber this year is one of the finest that has ever been educated in this school. One of the features that has made these students so out- standing is that they have taken an interest in a variety of fields, not only athletic, but academic and artistic as well. While some students have preferred playing basketball during noon or after school, others have spent much time singing in the various choruses or participating in a language club. Almost every student has found a particular field that has attracted his attention, and he has managed to find the time to participate in it. With these many interests, the future of the students of Weber appears to be a bright one, and has much to offer. When they become adults, these young men and women will branch into numerous areas according to their interests and will utilize what they have learned in their years of education. Thus this 1963 Yearbook is dedicated to the future and success of the ninth grade students at Weber this year.
