We Will Never Forget Coach Zahniser l It's easy to be ordinary, but it takes tremendous desire and effort to excel. This quotation expresses the philosophy and pattern of life of our late coach, Ralph Zahniser, the dearly beloved Zahny , who thought character far more important than victory on the playing field. The following pages picture the last Carrick team to play under the guidance of the Father of the Triadic , the last squad to train under this ardent teacher of character and fairplay. They, as well as the entire student body, will always remember the great Zahniser spirit. Mr. Zahniser, a gentleman in de- mand as a speaker, was loved for his sincerity. We will never forget his moving speeches at our assemblies and banquets. Zahny , the friend, loved his boys , teaching them to play sports cleanly and courageously, praising them in victory, cheering them in defeat Ralph Zahniser, the sculptor, was noted for his talented works, gaining particular recognition for his sport figures. Zahny spent many hours modeling figures of relatives and friends.
