“Yes, Ben Franklin was a Swinger, but you’re missing the point of this discussion entirely .. ‘What? ... Wh .. “Now, for a spin around the world Dedication We the 1976 Annual Flame Staff of Carrabelle High School are proud to dedicate this edition of the annual to Mr. “Mack Mangham. Mr. Mack has been teaching at CHS for six years. He has been a good teacher as well as a good friend to all of his students. Mr. Mangham is involved with many school activities and projects. He is always happy to lend a hand when it is needed. To him we present our deepest appreciation for all the effort he has put forth. We are proud to have Mr. Mack to whom we can dedicate this issue of the Flame. “Is anyone listening 2 “Knock, Knock? ...” EDITOR'S MESSAGE We are most honored to put out this years FLAME yearbook. We hope that in this book you will be able to look back on some of your good times and be able to grow from your experiences through out the years. Our country is now 200 years old. We have lived in freedom the w'hole time, but unfortunately we are now faced with a lot of indifferences and problems. Pretty soon we will be the adults of our country, and it will be up to us to work out these problems. The only way we can have more years of freedom is to stand up for what we believe in and speak out. We see that responsibility and are looking forward to tackling it. Looking over the past six years, we feel a great deal of accomplishment which was brought in by all of our good and bad times. We are now ready to face our world and hopefully do some good to mankind. We want to wish everyone here at Carrabelle High School the best of luck in the future. Editor: Stephanie Shiver Asst. Our destination is a class reunion in far off Venus. As we board the spaceship we meet our three beautiful stewardess. They are Carol M., Diane S„ and Joan S. As we get underway. Carol, the head stewardess introduces us to our pilot and co-pilot. Harry T. sure looks neat in his pilots uniform seated beside Kevin R., his co-pilot. We are now stopping at Los Angeles spaceport to pick up the owner of the popular play girl club, Denise S. also joining is her bartender Beverly G. and the famous pop singers Saul L. and Melody C. We are now flying to Pittsburg to beam up the two famous Milky-way basketball players, Vic A. and Ken C„ along with their head coach Hubert C. Among the spectators we find Cheryl and Donnie G. along with 10 little Donnies. Now only 10 minutes later we are arriving in New York. As we alight at the spaceport we are greeted by the Mayor of New York City, Lance D. His private lawyers are badly needed to keep Lance out of trouble, they are John B. and Bill H. Now we are off to the Indianapolis 2,000 to watch the incredible car racers Jody H., Ricky M. and Ernie D. Jody recently added a new addition on to his family of 4, Mary Jo sure is proud. We are now crossing the ocean to find Ed H. and Don W. in Asia working on a new cure for Marspox, their assistants are Annie W. and Renee K. Our next stop is USSR where we find the fashion model Terry M. and her fashion consultant Linda M. working on new outfits. They take time off to join our flight and we are off again to pick up the President of France, Patty S. and her obedient servants Jeff C. and David T., who are her faithful body guards. Now we zoom off to the Mercury Bowl to witness two great football teams in action. Pete G. is captain of the Hot-Box Boomers whose opponent is the Saturns Silky Slippers. Their football captain is the great William M. The half time events features Johnny L. and Royce J. on their famous guitars. Next comes the well known drum soloist James M. and Scott M. As the game comes to an end we see Tracy B. coming out of the stands with his vacuum cleaner as he sweeps from aisle to aisle. We continue now to the sight where Doug J. and Robert R. are constructing a high rise stable and where Jolene and Theron M. are raising pure bred Arabrians and old Line Walker hounds. Right across the planets surface we see Mike B. M.D. forcing Jim S. and Phil S. still in straight jackets into the mental ward section of our space ship. On the short 200,00 mile trip from Mercury to Pluto we pass Tommy S„ Barbara R„ and Deedie W. really spaced out. Joining the party is Tammy and her husband Baalis P. What fun this party is. As we land on Pluto we see Beverly and Tony M. who regrets they are unable to join us on the trip because she is expecting anyday. We continue now to the Astro-training center where we meet Stephanie S. practicing her skills as an astronaut. We beam up Debbie J. and her little girl Amy, who is now a fourth grader. Andy was unable to join us. Debbie S. informed us that her and Neil are finally getting married and wouldn’t be able to come along. Gay Y. is still happily married to Doug and are planning on their fifth child. We are now leaving for our final stop at Jupiter before returning home. Already there is David M. and his wife Angie. Now arriving is the billionare Sex Symbol (still single) Charlie G. with his loyal servant Larry L. As our journey comes to a close we can see how drastically each and every ones life has changed. The party came to an end as we all energize back into our own private lives, but promise to meet again in ten years. 74 1976 CLASS WILL I, Harmon Loeb Barnard, will the following: my ability to play sports and never start to anybody who wants it.
