If our teachers had not helped and supported us, we would not have reached this stage in our lives and our future would be less secure. We are grateful to everyone who contributed to our welfare; we are especially grateful to Mr. Kilbourn who served as our teacher, coach, principal, and our friend. The Editor of the 1972 Tarpon hopes this annual will become as valuable to you as our experiences at CHS have been to us. School Days Sparking Days Those Days As a final gesture of appreciation, the 1972 Annual Staff proudly dedicates this edition of the Tarpon to Mr. Pierre Kilboum, our principal. During the four years Mr. Kilbourn has been with us, he has been an able Captain, guiding and helping us through every rough sea. He has never been too busy to help in any way possible. His untiring dedication to C.H. S. and his unfailing interest in young people will be immeasurably missed. Good luck, Mr. Kilboum! We love you! Since David Jackson has become head patrolman he'll be leading the motorcade. The first stop is at Medical Center where David picks up Dr. Phil Rife and his Nurse Sheila Carroll. Dr. Rife and Nurse Carroll have made successful careers. Next we travel around to Atlanta where we pick up Frank Massey and Richard Hellams. Frank who vowed never to work, has really made it!! As a professional bum, that is. Richard travels back and forth from Atlanta to Hollywood playing his drum set he got for Christmas his Senior year. When we reach the Indianapolis speedway we don't have to wait long for Don Carroll because as usual he's raring to go. Most stockcar racers are like that. Yeah, they are!!! Now we’re crossing the Missouri State line where we see Wayne Mock and manage to drag him away from his darling wife Deedre. Wayne has just about gone Ding Dong trying to get his psychology degree!! Down the road a few miles we pick up Julie Glass and Carolyn Mitchell. Julie hasn’t improved any since her Senior year and Carolyn is really starting to worry about her dear little friend. Well, well, who is that in the big ten gallon hat we see as we enter Texas!!! Why it's Randy Allen!! And there's Phyllis Jackson close by!!! It's not what we thought! Randy's only a rich, rich Texan and Phyllis is his secretary to make sure he doesn't lose too many oil wells. Randy tells us to stop up the road a piece and he’ll have a surprise for us. Why, it's the hottest movie star in the wilderness, Rhonda Walker with her world famous hairdresser Elizabeth Cooper!! Man, have they changed since their Senior year! Next we see Johnny Lowery and Mitchell Costin arguing over who's to join the motorcade first!! Mitchell is now known as the most talkative governor ever to be elected in the state of Alabama!! In any other state for that matter! Johnny seems to be getting old for his time and spends his time just traveling around. 6WV Sr. Su- 371rnrwj Class Rob'd Os Prophecy %■ cont 61 Evelyn Crum and Beckey Spiers have made it through Colorado University and are now teaching. Beckey and Terry Skipper are happily married but Evelyn is still going in circles!!! In Ohio all of the male travelers have their hair cut by the one and only barber!!! Gary Skipper! Business is great says Gary!!! Next we see Dale McMillan in her overalls. Dale always said she wanted to be a farmer!!! In Idaho they call her farmer Dale for short. Bert Worthy, Dennis Flowers, and Joel Walker have built their own Marine Mechanics Shop with Keith Walden as the test driver for their speed boats. Gariy, Larty and Tony Millender are still celebrating their 1972 graduation from C. H. S. as we lead them to their motorcycles. As we move into California we pick up Jerry Doss. He waves good-bye to Mrs. Sherty Doss and their eight little Dosses. They just might miss their Daddy! Down the road in L. A. we find Bill Martin who's just co-starred on the Glen Campbell Good-Time Hour! Glen says Bill can really pick that guitar!!! As we enter the outskirts of L. A. we find David Daniels in the science lab dreaming up some new invention! David has contributed much to the world of science ... David Jr., Sally Jane, Mary-Alice, and Little John-John! We now find Sandy Moore as she is typing the last letter before she is dismissed by Larry Silfen to join the class reunion. Larry is finding time to go himself, but only after he corrects the typing errors of his secretary, Sandy. Renee and Robin Lawver are still sticking together. They just haven’t found the somebody they both like!!! In the meantime they are modeling for Sears and Roebuck. Last but not forgotten is Sue Litton. She's still happily married after ten and a half years!! She enjoys being a housewife but is ready to join us as we search for our destination!!! AUTHOR UNKNOWN ftp ?p. S'.
