JOE PAPER COMPANY '- Keep Florida Green -- Prevent Forest Fires .fu ' Port St. Joe, Fla. 2 In recognition of the five years you have served as our sponsor, Mrs. Hance, we proudly dedicate this Tarpon to you. You more than deserve this place in our annual. You have helped us to better ourselves, not only as a class, but as individuals. We will be better prepared to meet our future responsibilites because of the example you have set. You have helped us mature mentally, physically, soc- ially, and spiritually. Words cannot express what we feel, but we give you our warmest thanks and deepest appreciation for your guid ance and devotion. You will always remain in our hearts. 3 cgn Memoriam ELIZABETH MOCK Though Lib's desk is empty, she lives within the hearts of all her classmates. Her warm friendliness cheerful co-operation, and indomi- nobled the lives of all who have known her. The class of 54 feels truly: She is not dead,--the one of our affection, But gone unto that school Where she no longer needs our poor protection And Christ himself doth rule. In that great cloister's stillness and seclusion, By guardian angels led, Safe from temptation, safe from sin's pollution, She lives, whom we call dead. Day after day we think what she is doing In those bright realms of airg Year after year, her gentle steps pursuing, Behold her grown more fair. Thus do we walk with her, and keep unbroken The bond which nature gives, Thinking that our remembrance, though unspoken, May reach her where she lives. . --Henry W. We have had our problems, sure, but what would life be like if we didn't have problems? Thanks for the good times, and may God guide you in all your undertak- ings. - --- Ann Warren As I look back over my last two years of high school, which I have spent here in C.H. S. , I realize that they are the happiest two years I'll ever have. Thanks for the many pleasant memories. -Clinton Logan I will always remember my twelve years in Dear Ole C.H.S. They have been, happy and enjoyable ones. There 's work and play in everything, but what you do here in school has a lot to do with your future. Farewell, my friends, until we meet again. ----------- Barbara Hutchison All through school we have waited for one day, GRADUATION. Now that it 's here, I think about all the good times I have enjoyed, and all the friends I have made, and I hate to leave. To the Seniors of '55, I leave my best wishes, and the very best of luck. ---------- James Bradford I shall never forget the many friends I have made in C.H. S. May you find happiness and success in everything you do. I never like to say good-bye, so I'll just say, l'll see you. -------- Betty Lou Win- chester. Though this is where our path-ways part, I cannot say good-bye, but rather, God bless you and keep you, and nothing but the best befall you. Good luck. ------------ Edward Smith The two years I have attended school at C.H. S. , 1 have learned to love the people very much, and have made many friends. I have enjoyed these years more than any others I have ever spent at other schools. --- -----Maxie Gray Farewell to a grand school, where the teachers have taught me many things which I will always use in the future. ---------- Prentice Crum Of all the ups and downs at C.H.S. , the ups have greatly outnumbered the downs. Always do the best in everything you undertake and you will be climbing the ladder to success. ---------- Joanne Barber Since I almost quit school once, I am now very proud to say that I am a graduate of C.H. S. Thanks to the Principal and the wonderful teachers who have helped me. ---------- Annie Carolyn Tucker I have enjoyed my many years at C.H.S. and now I say farewell, but not good-bye. May God bless you. - --------- Estelle Smith I have sincerely enjoyed all the years that I have been in C.H.S. , and I hope that all future students will be as happy as I have been. Study while you are in school, and you will have plenty of time to have fun when you are out. Farewell to my friends, teachers, and Dear Ole C.H. S. ---------- Mary Massey Farewell to the faculty members who have helped me accomplish my goal. To my fellow students, fare- well, and may you soon be Seniors. No matter how hard you have to struggle to get through school, you can do it. ---------- T. I. Massey As I leave you at the end of '54, I want to wish that luck and happiness go with you during the years that you are in school. I wish to bid farewell to the members of the faculty who in the past few years have helped me to become a better and more prominent citizen. Thanks. ---------- Franklin Murray I am honored to graduate--and believe me, it wasn't too easy. I'm leaving school, but I hope l will see my fellow students and friends often. So, I say farewell for the time being. ---------- George Creamer Farewell to all the good times I've had at C.H.S. May the students coming up be as proud to graduate from this school as I am. ---------- Albert Cumbie Farewell to C. H.S. , where I've spent the best years of my life. They are gone and they can't be brought back, but I've enjoyed them. ---------- Jimmy Putnal ' Though this is my last year at C.H. S. , I wish to say that I have enjoyed going to school here. Good luck to all of my friends and teachers, and may God bless you always. ---------- Ruffus Messer THIS PAGE SPONSORED BY CAPITAL CITY BAKERIES, INC.--ROCCO PIPE AND SUPPLY CO. TALLAHASSEE. FLA. Well its 1964, and our old High School Class is having a party at the new Stork Club out here in California. As hostess Ihad better look the crowd over and see if veryone is here. There is Maxie Gray with her fourth husband. The blond in the red dress. Her present husband owns a very famous Night Club out here. Ahoy! There's Admiral James Bradford over there. Jimmy has gone far in the Navy, personally I think he still likes to have fun like a swabbie Who is that girl covered in diamonds? Oh yes, it is Estelle Smith, better known as Diamond Stell. Her collection of diamonds are world famous as well as her convertible cars. Look, there's Albert Cumbie, the Mayor of New York, he is having an inauguration ball next week. He really has something to celebrate. I see Mary Massey with her husband Ed Brown, she is a star feature at Maxie's husband's club, where she dances and sings in the old Rita Hayworth style. She must have left her two lovely children at home. Ibelieve that is George Creamer the famous Band Leader talking to Joanne Barber Cooper, a wonderful housewife and mother. I see Edward Smith the professional baseball pitcher with his fellow team-mates who won the Pennant this year. Here's Ann Warren, I hear she is on vacation from her very busy career as Supt. of Nurses in the New Orleans Hospital. There is Tommy J. Massey who owns the largest car upholstery business in Florida. Isn't that Ruffus Messer with him? Ruffus is the carpenter who supervised building the New Stork Club out here. Well, we are honored to have with us this night the Reverend Clinton Logan, pastor of the First Methodist Church in Marianna. Look, there's Franklin Murray with his wife Nancy. Red in now coaching in our dear old Alma Mater. Here's my dear friend Bobbye Hutchison Riley who has a very nice job as secretary in the new office building in Miami, where she settled after a trip around the world. Here is Prentice Crum and his wife Joyce who are living in New York where Prentice has followed his profession from School Bus Driver to the owner of Trans-City Sight Seeing Busses. Who is that distinguished looking young man? My, it is Jimmy Putnal who owns a car lot in Tallahassee. Have I forgotten anyone? Myself? I'm Betty Winchester Wingate and Imust find my husband. It is time to go as we told our four children we would be home early. GOOD NIGHT ALL AND MAY WE MEET AGAIN. Compliments Of G.P. BRADFORD--JOHN C. MOORE O.C. MELVIN--C.M- HENRIKSEN Apalachicola, Fla.
