' jUC d-5- S ' To another memory we leave this thought; For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven; a time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up what is planted; a time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up a time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance; a time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and to refrain from embracing; a time to seek, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away; a time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak; a time to love, and a time to hate; a time for war, and a time for peace. It is something to be proud of and to treasure always. The Cardinal Staff has willingly worked to make it the way they felt you wanted it. Knowing how important this annual is to you now, and also how important it will be later, they have tried to portray all aspects of your school life. The staff sincerely hopes that the ’69 Cardinal will be one of the very best ever to be published. This teacher willingly gives of her spare time to promote school spirit and achievement among her students. She guides young girls into womanhood by teaching them and by her fine example. Her standards are rigid but also just. Having this teacher is an asset for Caroline and it is with great pride that we dedicate the 1969 Cardinal to: MRS. Along with Joan Gouldman, our first homecoming queen and her court, came the Homecoming Dance. Here all alumni of C. H. S. was invited to rejoin their classmates of years as far back as 1940. The “Escorts” provided music, which was even approved and enjoyed by some of the older persons attending. With a crowd reaching a goal of close to five hundred people, it is safe to deem our first homecoming a success. Yet without the support of the faculty, the P. T.
