The Trojan defense begins one of its many goal-line stands. The defense swarms to a Raider like bees swarm to honey. 2. 3. 4. ',X 9 as ,XA N- . Ricky Taylor just loves crushing quarterbacks. Dwayne will certainly go down in Carolina history as one of the best fullbacks to ever play for the Tro- jans. And the play begins. Now Coach Martin, you shouIdn't have said that. For the second year in a row the Trojan football team was under the helm of a new coach. After coaching at Dixie High School, Coach Alex Martin came to take the head coaching job here at Carolina. Although the team's record ended with 4 wins and 6 losses, the team adjusted to his procedures well.

At the beginning of the season. the Trojans were billed as the mystery team of the county . but when the Trojans defeated Riverside I9-O, all doubts were removed. The team continued the season with a win over Southside and disappointing losses to Pickens and Travelers Rest. In the next two games, the Trojans traded a win over Woodmont with a loss to Pal- metto. After the Homecoming victory over Greenville, the Tro- jans lost their last three ball- games.
