Student Council has worked this year to promote a spir- of unity and enthusiasm here at Carolina. As the year pro- gressed a feeling of together- ness manifested itself within in- dividual groups and between classes. Such a feeling was due partly to the many activities sponsered by the Student Coun- cil The Spirit Committee spon- sored several projects to try to promote spirit among classes. Friendly class competition was encouraged with projects such as the spirit chain contest. Students of the Month were also recognized regularly. These students were chosen by their classmates for superb charac- ter, spirit, and citizenship. The Projects Committee sponsored activities which helped not only students, but also people in our community. Among these were The Blood Bank and the food boxes for two needy families at Thanks- giving. ln February, Student Council hosted Inter-High Council at Carolina. Student Council experienced a very productive year, and their hopes are that everyone enjoyed the SI-82 school year. Getting involved in Student Council was a good learning ex- perience and a lot of fun. Organizationsfl7l
