In l957 class beauties were se- lected and judged in much the same way that they are now. The classes voted on three girls to represent them, and then one girl was chosen as class beauty by a very special person. Perry Como chose Miss Clara Pittman as the senior beauty, Miss Gail Mills as the iunior beauty, Miss Eva Garren as the sophomore beauty, and Miss Linda Page as the freshman beauty. Homecoming was much differ- ent in I957. The homecoming contestants were chosen as sponsors by the senior members of the football team. The girls then collected money through- out homecoming week. a penny for each vote. The girl with the most votes was then crowned as football queen at the alumni game.
