G.A.A. ,cc Jenny Yates Enid Hicks, Jenny Yates, Donna Roddy, Lynn Holcombe, Lalane Dover, Vicky Hindman, Sara Yeargin, Myra Hol- lingsworth, Anne Von Hollen, Grace Moyer, Lynda Callahan, Gloria Sweatt, Mary Ann Hunter, Nancy The Girls' Athletic Association of Carolina High was organized in l956 by Mrs. Shirley Roddy, coach of the school, lt offers recreation for girls from freshmen to seniors, with the function of the association kept in view, to build body as well as mind. Many sports are enjoyed by the girls all year round. Touch football, horseshoes, archery, tennis, badminton, softball, and swimming are just a few of the many sports participated in by the members. On rainy days instead of hunting an old frown they hunt an old checker board, bingo set, or some other Rec Day equipment. Every girl earning points at Carolina High School is a member of the G.A.A. Keys and Block C trophies are acquired by attainment of certain standards set by the G.A,A, Council. The Council is responsible for co- ordinating and providing athletic activities.
