Distributive Education The D.E. CLUB is a nation-wide student organization made up of affiliated D.E. clubs, the purpose of which is to develop progressive leadership in the vocational and retailing fields. The club attended the District D.E. meeting in November and the state convention March 4 and 5 in Columbia, where Ray Smith was awarded third place trophy for his Merchandise information Manual. The Carolina club was host to the Parker and Greenville clubs at the annual Employer-Employee Banquet in February. The BLOCK C CLUB is made up of students who have earned a block letter either by participating in school sports or by accumulating points for band cheerleading or other school activities.
