Junior Homemakers of America The JHA, sponsored by Mrs Lettie Leininger, made its influence felt by participating in many school activities. Among them were making Christmas decorations, entertaining for the .IHA County meeting in February, spon- soring the drop-in tor Alumni Night, and deco- rating tor the FFA Banquet. One proiect at Thanksgiving and Christmas was helping needy families with food and clothing. The highlight ot the year was the fashion show presented in March as a going-away present for Mrs. Leininger. Joanne VVauchope was nominated by the Carolina chapter for state secretary. Barbara McKinney and Norma Shook entered compe- tition in the District Dress Review and Home Experience Contests. Both received awards of excellence.
