Making the Product Sell Marketing and distributive education is a two-year course that provides experience for students in on-the-job training, as well as excellence in classroom theory. The five competency areas in marketing and distributive education include basic skills in communication and computation, occupational adjustment, and positive human relations. Business Area Focus On the Future Students who arc looking forward to a place m the world of work after graduation, should find it richly rewarding to involve themselves in some area of vocational training while in public school. For the business-minded students, the business education classes can be the key to the future. The development of skills in the operation and use of business machines and technology will be vital to a successful career. Under the direction and guidance of Mrs. Sue Phillips, head of the vocational department, students are availed to every opportunity to acquire practical on-the-job-training relative to classroom theory and other fundamentals of business. Gasses are offered in word processing and accounting, as well as in clerical work. Mrs. Diane Huffman can show you how to get the most out of your money and material. Her motivation creates many innovations—from molding to modeling.
