THE 1918 T H ISTLE Andrew Carnegie Another year has passed and again the readers of The Thistle are destined to be deprived of a word of personal greeting from Our Founder. A recent letter from his private secretary informs us that Mr. Carnegie’s physician still thinks that it is inadvisable for any matters of business to be brought to his attention, even of such a nature as a word of greeting to the Student Body. The Editors regret very much that it is impossible to have a personal message from Mr. Carnegie, but feel sure that if he were in good health, he would send a warm and cheery greeting to the students, for it could not help but be a pleasure to him to see the institution, of which he was the Founder, so nobly responding to the needs of Our Country.
