Their meetings, on the second Monday of each nionth, are open to the public in order that problems of a student or taxpayer can be brought to the attention of the Board. The School Board is responsible for extending to each ineniber of the coininunity the use of niodern facilities within the school, maintenance of school buildings and Financial interests. 6

KENNETH LOGAN LIPERI TE DE TCF SCHGOLS When you realize that Carnegie High School was estab- lished sixty-six years ago at a time when there were only two other high schools in all of Allegheny County, you begin to share our pride in its long history of graduating outstanding young men and women. We believe that many of our present students will further enhance the ranks of our alumni. How- ever, these students must understand that, in this rapidly changing world, one can never acquire enough training or education to meet the challenge of tomorrow. 8
