The transportation problem was especially difficult this year because of the gaso- line and tire rationing. Boys playing on the class teams enjoy keen competition, moreover, they are receiv- ing training that may enable them to play on the varsity A or B squads in the future. As champions, the boys on the senior team earned the right to play against representatives of the faculty in an ex- hibition game. Since there were not enough male members of the faculty to play in such a game, and since the re- ceipts of this game are used for the Var- sity C Injury Fund, the Women of the faculty consented to play the senior girls.
