Everyone is ready to have a super time- but what to do? There are no basketball or football games, no big dates, a minimal amount of money, and Huckleberry's at Ball State. The decision is made to .cruise Carmel Town. After driving past Mary's and out to Screaming Bridge and back, stu- dents decide to get a Quarter Pounder twith cheesej and a hot fudge sundae at McDonald's-or, maybe, a pizza at Noble Romans. Around 10:00 p.m. the parking lot begins to fill up with all kinds of wheels from Mom's station wagon to Z28's. The management begins to panic and locks res- troom doors. Students enter to get a coke and something to eatg then it's back to the parking lot to socialize. So goes the life of a high school student. Parents consider Friday nights as time wasted. Students think of them as memories in the making. 5. The Number One Hangout for high school students, McDonald's, is filled to the brim on weekends. 6. Kelly Autry and Iim Ries step out for a night on the town. 7. A great place to get pizza, Noble Romans, does quite a business for the hungry high school crowd. 8. Pam Pratt. DEV LIF - L. it L 1 l M.: ii: 1 -3 .,.... nm-A L., mmm mls A ll!-I 4 Most of the student body and teachers would have to agree that there couldn't be a better place in which to receive an education than Carmel High School, one of the top-ranking schools in Indiana. The facilities and staff are tremendous. Since standards are high and competition is keen, students must work hard. Some days can even get terribly routine. When the time comes for a convo, however, students come alive. They have seen everything from parachutes to magi- cians and rock groups. Some of the craziest skits are per- formed at pep sessions. Coaches and jocks look like fools when they get a pie in the face or can't balance a book on their heads. Memories of such things make Carmel special to the graduates. 1, Tracy Ryan walks across the football field after enjoying a convocation of Army Para- chuters, 2. Students do an assignment-part of the days routine-for Mr. Knowles, 3. To add excitement to the day, the Football Team is honored with a pep session. 4. ln a close contest, the CHS Brain Came Team competes against Shortridge.
