Y 4967212715 The members of the Class of 1952 became vigorous supporters of Carmel High School ac- tivities as eighth graders. and in their freshman year successfully sponsored The Heart Hop. The raucous Sadie Hawkins Dance that they gave was the hit of their sophomore year, the same year in which their unusual athletic ability began to show itself. In their junior year they turned their efforts toward giving a long to be remem- bered junior-Senior Prom, which was held at the beautiful Highlands Inn. One of the most outstanding activities of this class was the production of Captain ,-Xppleiackf' the Senior Play, with Ann Spurr and Kurt von Heier in the leading roles. Klrs. Brey deserves special praise for her expert and patient direction of this production, while the stage crew, headed by Said Meheen, should also be mentioned for its fine work. The class concluded their senior year with the traditional Senior Assembly, the Senior Ball. and the Senior Barbecue. As the members of this class graduate from Carmel High School and go on to their indi- vidual destinations, they leave behind them out- standing records in scholarship. leadership, stu- dent government, and athletics, but with them they take happy memories and nrm guidance which will greatly aid them in their adult lives. In farewell they wish to extend their thanks to the faculty, the staff. and especially to Nlrs. Davis and Hr. Craig. their advisors. for making their high school career so memorable and worth- while. ln: 'A i 1 j PIQTIQR H,-XTTON BOB UPDIKK I'rusidmr I're.fi.1u11r jlXl XllI.l.lfR S'I'lQXYAR'1'LXlL1RX Viva I'rcxi.1'u11z Viru l'reri.it'111 jOAN Kl'.XlPl N SL'l-1 HIRST Sul'rt't.1ry SL'L'I'4'!.'lVj .-Xl.l.l'.Nl-1Pl-'fIi'I'Y .'Xl.LXA CL liTl.l, 'l'ru.ix11rur 'l're.rxurer - I fbi fo lb' I fd' 'lf 3. The eighth graders will remember it for they have already proved their ability and their school spirit. Many freshmen will never forget their work for the Scholarship Carnival and for their class assembly. Of course who, and least of all the sophomores, will ever lose track of the 1951 Sadie Hawkins Dance. Mention cake and candy to the juniors and they will undoubtedly be able to recall the outcome of the various sports events at which their concession was very conveniently building up their class treasury. Last, but by no means least, the exalted seniors. who will treasure their many memories of 1951-1952-the rush for caps and gownsg the various and sundry outcomes of the senior picturesg the ordering of senior announcementsg the Senior Playg the Senior Ballg the long awaited graduation and, of course. the good old senior assemblv. Other students will remember this year as the year in which we attempted to turn over a new leaf in our many student activities by reorganizing INOSY of our clubs and activities. All of these aforementioned events plus our usual activities helped to make 1951-1952 a year that we will never forget. VVe would like to express our appreciation to Nlr. Hurl Swartz. our photographerg Nlr. Aldwell, our Photography Club Sponsorg the American Yearbook Company, who printed this book. and to our advisor, Nlr. Craig, without whom this book would not exist.
