S51 ' Administration The major effort of the school board and administration this past year has been involved in the bond issue. Superintendent Stuart Mitchell and the members of the school board, Mr. Harold Neilsen, Mrs. Martha Moller, Mrs. Anita Dormody lMrs. Dormody re- signed and Mrs Al Fry was appointed in her placel, Mr, Peter Ferrante and Mr. J. O. l-landley, worked long and hard gathering facts and doing research and we wish to express our deepest appreciation for their unselfish interest and untiring efforts. Although the bond issue failed, we hope that soon the citizens of Carmel realize our need for an auditorium and music unit so that the future students of Carmel l-ligh School may obtain instruction in dramatics and music in adequate facilities, Miss Dorothy Wright, Girls' Vice-Principal and Counselor also handles the duties ot sponsoring Leaders' Club and Girls' League. Mr. l-larlen Reyburn, Boys' Vice-Principal and Counselor, was Student Council advisor and tennis coach. Mrs. Mildred Riker, school secretary greeted visitors with a cheerful smile, and managed all af her duties capably. Mrs. June Rico, bookkeeper and personal secretary to Mr. Mitchell also kept the school district finances in order.
