That was almost twice as man) volumes Mr Kagan had hoped foi The contest «js held ' or one week. Each class nominated two candidates for the Mr. and Miss Carmel Academj titles As (he classes brought in their book contributions, each volume counted as one vote lor iheir candidates. At the beginning ol this contest, only the lower and middle grades seemed to be competing Bui soon the upper grades became more enthusiastic. The contest was finally the mnih grade, and Debbie Craig and Tripp Upinsky were named Mr. and Miss Carmel Academy. Through t he slacks ol books in what is now our lunchroom. Carmel Academy students can see j iuiure library Students from every class brought ui books ot all kinds The lunchroom is now splashed with color and has more atmosphere than before. Teadters are already calling the lunchroom the library They are pleased to have these additional resources to leach with. Books packed with information are almost ready tu be checked out for readme We also have a fine suppls ot literature books. It we had not held a contest, there definitely would noi have been enough books to nuke j library. While I he classes were fighting away io win first place, we didn ' t realize thai  e were building such a large collection.
