That started us off with a bang! We had lots of fun during our initiation-bowing to the juniors and seniors and feeding them candy! How glad we fthe boysj were to get those scarfs off our heads! Remember how the seniors and juniors bowed to each one of us in the Gym.? Bet they were stiff for a few days! t Joyce Kleber, our candidate for Hoo-Doo Queen, was First Maid of Honor. Not only do we hope to graduate, but there's the order- ing of name cards, class rings, having pictures taken. putting out of the Yearbook, the senior play, class day, and of course, learning all we can before we leave in May. Our is a class full of talent. There's Doris Davis who won a medal in the International Artistic Typing Contest-three of our girls have been queens-Phyllis Essington, Hoo- Doo Queen during her Junior Year, Ruth Langham, Hoo-Doo Queen this year, and Wanda Crabtree, Dairy Queen and Peach Queen of Southern Illinois. In athletics we shine with Jack Harter, Wilson Fauke, Charles Hoffman, Eugene Koehler and David Steinmann. We have as cheerleaders, Phyllis Essington and Anna Lu Meyer. In Gymnas- tics there's Dean Gambill, Dean Lindsey, Phyllis Essington and Anna Lu Meyer. The senior class is really musical. Wanda Crab- tree, Anna Lu Meyer, Allen Weihe and LeRoy Friedrichsmeyer are our excellent musicians. Stanley Parson is the editor of the Kaskaskian as well as our class president. Other class officers rare: LeRoy Friedrichs- meyer, vice-president, Eliza Swofford, secre- tary, Joyce Hoffman, treasurer. On the Student Council we are represented by Dale Maibaum, Nancy Langham and Joyce Hoff- mann. Our class advisors are Miss Dieckmann and Mr. Vollertsen.
