This nsturzily lords one to think of graduation or commencement as it is called. At such a time one would like no express some profound ani heli- ful thought thet the Sen,ors will remember throughout their lives. I have no such thought in mind, but would life to sention sore very simple things. Many geo le are inclined to oeleive that education ends when one finishes Schoolg however you are just entering upon another these of education. As long as one can learn from experience, his own sr some other yerso:'s ne is oeing educetei. Let me emgnasize the fact tgut although this may se the eni of school for some of youg nevertheless yxur education does not cease. I hope thit some of you will go on to institutions of higher learning, but even though this may be the end of your formal education you can still attain a high de ree of learn- ing oy observing and studying things in every day life. Some people re urn colie5e train .5 fran the utilitsrian view point. Pos- sibly even today, with the high wages paid to unskillei and semi-skilled workers, one may prove the money value of college training. The greatest value of a higher education is the larger fields of interest ani enjoyment thot is open to those having such trsining. Desirsole ss a Colle e e ucition may be, if this is denied you, don't get the iles that yen are not capable of getting a worth- while education. The real proof of the vsiue of anything, oe it just e gadget or a great idea, is the use made of it. Lay we all show the value of our schoolinj by being upright snf neloiul Citi ens .I tge community in which we live. U 5' Lewis and Cl rk College E.S. Des Moines University B.S.
